Most dosing funnels press down inside the basket, which means they sit on your grounds and stamp a ring into the puck before you have even tamped. This one hangs off the outside instead. Ten magnets grip the outer rim, the full basket opening stays clear, and nothing touches the coffee.

The upper lip flares wider than the basket, so grounds coming off any grinder land in the funnel rather than on the portafilter and the bench. At 32g it is light enough to leave on while you distribute without the portafilter going top heavy.
